Super Retirement Party for Ron Jaecks

Updated: Aug 31, 2019

Celebrate my 33 years as a surgeon at a special performance of The Great American Trailer Park Musical at the Pentacle Theatre on September 24, 2019!

The ticket price is $33.00 to honor my 33 years as a surgeon. All proceeds will go to SUPERFAN's passionate cause--THE PENTACLE THEATRE EDUCATION FUND to give scholarships for aspiring students of Theater. Click on Joseph Allen. He received one of these scholarships! I have been a SUPERFAN of Joseph Allen since he starred in Seussical the Musical on the Pentacle Theatre Stage at age 12!

This special performance on September 24 will be at the one year mark since I suffered a complete mental breakdown because of severe Burnout and Exhaustion with PTSD complicated by Sleep Deprivation (at least 100 nights of missed sleep/year!). Although brain healing is slow, the life-saving EMDR treatments by Rachelle McCloud are continuing to help in my recovery. There have been setbacks, but each week Rachelle McCloud continues to work miracles with EMDR treatments.

I am thankful for my wife (Kelli Jaecks), our kids Keston and Brea, my Mom, my brother Steve, and other family members and friends who have supported me during this challenging time. I love (pun not intended) Michael Freeman and all of my Tennis friends at the Salem Tennis and Swim Club!

Pentacle Theatre has been life saving! "Theatre is life!" Nearly every day in January, February, and March of this year, from 2:00 pm until bedtime, I was completely swept away by my role in MAMMA MIA! at the Pentacle Theatre. Because, I was still early in recovery from the Burnout/PTSD Breakdown, this was one of the most difficult projects I have undertaken. Considering my Mental Illness (Burnout/PTSD Breakdown IS Mental Illness), it took LASER focus for me to accomplish my role! Yet my cast mates, Directors Robert Salberg and Jill Sorensen, and EVERYONE at Pentacle Theatre patiently worked with me, and my performance showed that "Theatre is life!" I now know why so many Theater friends over the years have exclaimed, "Pentacle Theatre SAVED MY LIFE!" Come to the Pentacle Theatre and you will hear similar "Theatre is Life" stories!

"Theater is Life, Film is Art, and TV is Furniture"

When: Sept. 24, 2019. Meet and Greet Dr. Jaecks at a Reception (because of space, you must have a show ticket to come to the reception) in the Pentacle Theatre Lobby at 6:15 p.m., performance at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Pentacle Theatre, 324 52nd Ave NW, Salem OR 97304

What: An all-American musical odyssey through agoraphobia, adultery, hysterical pregnancy, strippers, huffing, electric chairs, flan, roadkill, toll collecting, spray cheese, guns and disco.

But most of all, it’s a hilarious, heartfelt, raucous and racy piece of Americana about accepting who you are, how you got there and where you’re headed next and why.

The story opens as a new tenant, Pippi, moves in at Armadillo Acres and starts wreaking hurricane-like havoc all over Florida’s most exclusive trailer park. Pippi’s a stripper on the run from Duke, her unhinged ex-boyfriend, and she’s trying hard not to come between agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband, Norbert.

The storms begin to brew as the story unfolds, guided by a Greek chorus-like trio of trailer park gals who play multiple characters and genders, breaking the fourth wall at whim to air their own dirty laundry.

Mixing trailer park culture and broad comedy with Jerry Springer-worthy confrontations, The Great American Trailer Park Musical is a real treat for mature audiences ready for a raucous good time led by colorful characters and toe-tapping tunes.

Everyone is welcome at my retirement party. Catch up on my blog and be inspired to become a SUPERFAN. I will give free SUPERFAN "coaching". We will have a SUPER Celebration together!
