My participatory Journalism project has moved from fantasy to the stage--tonight is opening night of MAMMA MIA! at Treasure of Salem, OR, Pentacle Theatre! I find myself enjoying every part of the process including "Mic Check". My favorite song this week is Lay all Your Love on Me. Our Sky, Dylan Bauman, has a beautiful voice; he captured me the first time I heard him do this number at an early rehearsal! Of course my favorite actor is, my lovie, Kelli Jaecks!
She plays a fantastic and sexy Tanya! I find myself still having the SUPERFAN persona during times when I off stage and even while on stage. I think it actually helps my acting--I hope!. As I said in my first post, my favorites are actually EVERYONE involved in this wonderful production!
It is now 3:30 and it is time for SUPERFAN to begin the metamorphosis process to be an actor on the Pentacle Theatre Stage for his very first Opening Night! I have learned in the past few weeks, that this takes 4 hours until curtain for me to make this transformation.
